The rundown

Pompano Trailhead is where Sarasota pickleball happens. Twelve lighted outdoor courts, open from sunrise to 10pm, and the deepest drop-in scene in the county. Mornings belong to the regulars — show up around 8 or 9am, stack your paddle, and you'll be in a game within a rotation or two.

Good to know

  • Outdoor courts — check the court-conditions ribbon on our homepage before heading out.
  • Bring outdoor balls for outdoor courts — the 40-hole kind. Our gear guide has the short list.
  • First visit? Mornings are the social window — that's when regulars play and rotations are welcoming.
  • Hours and conditions change — verify before you go, especially around holidays.
