The rundown

GT Bray is the biggest pickleball complex in the area: twenty courts, fourteen of them covered. Rain or brutal sun, there's almost always a playable court. Worth the drive to Bradenton when Sarasota courts are packed or the sky looks threatening.

Good to know

  • Outdoor courts — check the court-conditions ribbon on our homepage before heading out.
  • Bring outdoor balls for outdoor courts — the 40-hole kind. Our gear guide has the short list.
  • First visit? Mornings are the social window — that's when regulars play and rotations are welcoming.
  • Hours and conditions change — verify before you go, especially around holidays.

Court questions

Is GT Bray free?

Yes — Manatee County public park.

Can you really play in the rain?

The fourteen covered courts stay playable in most rain. Lightning is still a no-go — use judgment.

Is it worth the drive from Sarasota?

When local courts are packed or storms are rolling through, absolutely.
